Rachel H. Leland, ODDr. Rachel H. Leland is a dedicated Optometrist at Eye Site Center, recognized for her positive and kind demeanor and her patient-centered philosophy. Born and raised in Central Florida, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida (Go Bulls!) before moving to Massachusetts to pursue Optometry School. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from MCPHS University in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at MCPHS she earned membership in the Beta Kappa Sigma International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Leland completed her optometric training with several extensive externships in ocular disease and primary care optometry—experiences that shaped her commitment to whole-health medicine. She has participated in group research and has presented academic posters at the American Optometric Association’s national meetings. In 2023, Dr. Leland assumed ownership of Eye Site Center and is accepting new patients. Currently she is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Hillsborough Society of Optometrists.
Dr. Leland has an enduring passion for wellness, wellbeing, and preventative care, believing firmly that prevention is the most powerful and effective form of medicine. She is especially interested in the way everyday habits—nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management—directly influence long-term health and ocular wellness. This integrated perspective allows her to help patients understand not just their symptoms, but the underlying patterns that impact their overall ocular health.
In addition to primary care optometry, Dr. Leland has developed a passion for scleral lens fitting, myopia management, and eye care wellness, blending knowledge with a particular appreciation for the eye’s sensitivity to systemic health. She enjoys teaching patients how improving whole-body wellness can positivity affect vision, comfort and long-term ocular function.

She takes time to listen, explain and develop a collaborative treatment strategy—ensuring that every patient feels empowered in their eye care decisions. Outside the clinic, Dr. Leland enjoys running, learning, reading and spending time with her husband, three children and dog, Murphy.

Mark S. Luedke, ODDr. Mark Luedke is a Optometrist that has been serving Riverview and the surrounding area since 1995. Dr. Luedke was born and raised on a dairy farm in Michigan, where his parents instilled in him a strong work ethic. He graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
While seeking employment he decided to make a move to sunny Florida where he found employment as an optician. He soon developed a passion for the optical industry and went on to become a licensed optician. The doctor that he was working for saw his young optician’s natural curiosity for the field and his aptitude for math and suggested that he further his education to become an Optometrist. Dr. Luedke went on to earn his Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
As an Optometrist, Dr. Luedke has extensive training in the fitting of contact lenses, including specialty and advanced designs. He performs routine eye exams and diagnoses and manages eye diseases including dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye health.
The patients of Eye Site Center have come to appreciate the state-of-the-art technology that Dr. Luedke embraces coupled with his “small town” approach in regard to the care of the vision and overall eye health. In addition, Dr. Luedke has been a long-standing member of both the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. In his free time, he enjoys camping, sailing and entertaining with his wife (and dogs!).
